Pump is a very important device for industry. The pumps have various models according to the different needs. The ceramic pump has the characteristics of good wear resistance, compact structure, tight shaft seal, convenient maintenance and reliable use, which is widely used in smelting, petroleum, chemical industry, pesticides, dye processing and other industries. Next, let’s take a look at the steps of using the ceramic pump:

1.Steps to start the ceramic pump

(1)Open the inlet valve; pour the priming liquid; and drain the air.

(2)Start the motor to make ceramic pump run, and open the outlet valve at the same time.

2.Steps to stop the ceramic pump

(1)Close the outlet valve and stop the motor at the same time.

(2) Close the inlet valve.

Note

1. Before starting the ceramic pump, use hand to rotate the coupling to check whether it is normal.

2. The inlet pipe and the pump must be filled with priming liquid, and they can operate normally only when there is no air.

3. When there is no priming liquid in the ceramic pump or there is no flow at the outlet, pump cannot be idling for a long time.

4. To avoid cavitation, the inlet valve cannot be used to adjust the flow of the ceramic pump.

5. If lubricating oil is used for bearing lubrication, the trapped fuel should not be lower than the center line of the oil level sight glass. The lubricating oil (grease) should be replaced regularly.

6. In cold areas, after stopping the ceramic pump, the pump body should be prevented from freezing.

7. When the liquid level is lower than the center line of the ceramic pump inlet, if the ceramic pump cannot start due to the wear of the oil seal, the last two oil seals can be installed in reverse to prevent air from entering the ceramic pump to ensure the normal operation of the ceramic pump.
